Combining the pleasures and companionship of walking with the attractions of the Scottish countryside, its history and culture

Full joining instructions are sent out before every walk and we encourage lift sharing to help those who do not have transport.

Numbers are generally limited to 12.  Walkers are asked to bring their own packed lunch and Learmont Mackenze provide refreshments at a local tea room at the end of the day.

Walks can be anything from 6 to 14 miles in length and are graded as follows:

·         Easy:  Little climbing; generally under 8 miles in length; good tracks.

·         Moderate:  Hill walking; 8-12 miles; includes ascents of up to 350 metres.

·         Strenuous:  Hill walking; 12 miles or over; ascents of over 350 metres; some difficult or technical aspects e.g. steep ascents/sharp descents.

If you would like to come on one of our walks, email us at mail@walkborders.com or download a Day Walks  Booking Form and return it to Learmont Mackenzie Travel at 48/2 Candlemaker Row, Edinburgh, EH1 2QE together with payment by cheque.  Each walk costs £ 15 per person with a reduced rate of £ 5 for accompanied children under the age of 16. Cheques should be made payable to Learmont Mackenzie Travel.
